Research Master Social and Behavioural Sciences

The two-year programme focuses on specialisations in psychology, sociology, organisation studies and in methodology and statistics.

The master's degree programme in Research in Social and Behavioural Sciences is a two-year programme leading to the Master degree. The faculty's best researchers and research groups participate in this programme. The programme focuses on five specialisations: two in psychology (medical psychology, social psychology/cross-cultural psychology/work and organisational psychology), one in sociology, one in organisation studies (including HRS) and one in methodology and statistics. The goal is to prepare students with a bachelor's degree to do fundamental scientific research. It provides students with the knowledge and skills to carry out research at the frontiers of the substantive fields in which the staff of the faculty is specialised. The curriculum focuses on theories and methods of the social and behavioural sciences and aims at developing knowledge, ability, and insight. The programme has a strong international orientation and is taught in English, starts in September and takes two years. The programme consists of track specific substantive courses, advanced methodology and statistics courses, training in research and academic and scientific skills.
