Sociale Psychologie

The Master's program in Social Psychology focuses on both individual and group behavior in formal and informal social contexts.

It studies how people behave in their social surroundings and what influences this behavior. Particularly problems related to consumer behavior, work and organizational behavior and decision making in social, economic and organizational contexts are important themes in this Master's program. Related to these themes, three separate tracks have been formed, each with its own focus and study program: - Track Social Psychology - Track Economic Psychology - Track Work and Organizational Psychology The common denominator of the three tracks is that they all refer to specific disciplines within social psychology. The difference between the tracks is the focus on the type of behavior. The social psychology track caters to students who want to specialize in general human social behavior. The economic psychology track caters to students who want to specialize in economic and consumer behavior. The work and organizational track caters to students who want to specialize in work behavior. All tracks prepare for an academic and a vocational career. However, compared to the two-year Research Master's program, all tracks offer more chances to apply knowledge in real-life settings.

Work and Organizational Psychology
The track Work and Organizational Psychology concentrates on scientifically-based solutions to human problems in work and organizational settings.

Social Psychology
The track Social Psychology studies how the social environment influences human thought, emotion, and behavior.

Economic Psychology
The track Economic Psychology studies the psychological mechanisms that underlie consumption and other economic behaviors. It is an area where psychology and economics intersect.
